Teach students to hear, join, separate and change phonemes through a coherent week of Year 2 English instruction. Blending and Segmenting — Year 2 begins with clear phoneme–grapheme review, then develops smooth blending, accurate segmenting, consonant blends, vowel teams, phoneme deletion, phoneme substitution, word chains and compound-word strategies.
The 18-slide editable presentation models each strategy with worked examples. The 22-slide editable quiz provides 10 questions with immediate answer and feedback slides. Two substantial colour games—Real Word Lab and Word Wizard Builder—support repeated oral rehearsal and word building.
