Full Description
Help Foundation students understand how procedural texts work and give them the confidence to create their own. This structured unit begins with the purpose of a procedure, then explicitly teaches titles, materials, ordered method steps, action verbs and time words. Picture cards, a recording mat and the Build a Procedure game make sequencing concrete before students move into supported, core and extension writing tasks.
The resource includes editable PowerPoint presentation and quiz files for whole-class teaching, colour displays and hands-on materials, black-and-white practice pages for economical printing, six matching answer pages, a two-part fruit-salad assessment and a five-level marking rubric. The sequence supports oral rehearsal, shared composition, independent writing and shared editing across approximately one school week.
