Fractions, Decimals and Percentages – Year 6

Description
Teach the connections between fractions, decimals and percentages through a purposeful five-lesson sequence for Year 6. Students build fluency with equivalent representations, apply place value and division strategies, simplify fractions, compare mixed forms and explain their reasoning.
The unit combines a 16-slide editable presentation with seven core practice pages, an extension challenge, colour classroom resources, a collaborative Triple Match game and a two-page assessment. Ten matching answer pages sit directly after the relevant student pages, and a five-level rubric supports consistent feedback. Black-and-white student practice is economical to print, while displays, cards and game materials use colour where it adds clarity.
