Place Value 250–500 develops a connected understanding of three-digit numbers for Year 2 students. The learning sequence moves from representing numbers with hundreds, tens and ones to explaining digit value, partitioning in standard and flexible ways, regrouping and renaming quantities, recognising zero as a placeholder, and comparing, ordering and locating numbers.

The editable 25-slide presentation supports explicit teaching with worked examples and guided review. A separate editable 22-slide quiz includes 10 mixed-format question-and-answer pairs. The 33-page unit plan PDF brings together a colour display, a three-page Place Value Café activity, a three-page Race to 500 game, five two-page printable worksheets with matching red-answer pages, a two-page Place Value Market Challenge assessment with answers, and a five-level rubric.

The resource uses Australian English. Colour materials support display, modelling and collaborative learning, while worksheets, assessment pages and the rubric are designed in low-ink black and white for practical classroom printing.
