Develop confident four-digit place-value thinking with a complete Year 3 unit designed for a focused week of mathematics teaching.
Students learn to read, write and represent numbers to 10,000 using thousands, hundreds, tens and ones. The lesson sequence connects standard form, number names, expanded form and base-ten representations before moving into digit value, zero as a placeholder, comparison, ordering and renaming.
