Teach decimal place value to hundredths through a connected week of explicit instruction, hands-on modelling, collaborative games, independent practice and assessment.

Students learn to represent tenths and hundredths with models and place-value charts, connect fractions with denominators of 10 and 100 to decimal notation, identify the value of each digit, compare and order decimals, and explain how division by 10 and 100 changes place value.

The unit includes colourful display, activity and game pages for whole-class and small-group learning. Printable worksheet, assessment and rubric pages use a restrained low-ink black-and-white design, with matching red answer pages placed immediately after the corresponding student tasks in the Unit Plan PDF.
